Sophie's Safe Haven, consists of animals that were in desperate need of homes. We are not a nonprofit organization. We offer services to the public, in order to help pay expenses for these animals to have the best quality of life. Unbeatable Quality
On-or-Off Site Customer Service
The members of Sophie's Safe Haven strive to be the best, when it comes to customer service. We try to answer every question, as quickly as possible. We never cancel an event, unless a unforseen circumstance happens. We've had to cancel parties in the past due to bad weather, and having vet emergencies. In these situations, we offer a full refund to the customer.
Riding lessons
Sophie's Safe Haven's main focus during lessons is to teach basic horsemanship. We teach many different aspects of riding; riders are taught about safety, grooming, tack, warming up a horse before a work out, cooling off after a work out, having control while riding, balance in the seat, riding with perfect posture, riding with soft and steady hands. Horseback riding is a partnership between rider and horse. Riders must understand the importance of posture, and balance in order to ride safely for the horse and themselves. Any one who abuses a horse will be asked to leave the property, and not be refunded their money.
Trail Rides
Trail rides must be scheduled a few weeks in advance. We offer trail rides through the woods of Jackson. Trail rides last a hour long. We also have the option to do longer rides (prices vary). Limited space is available on the trails. Each individual must sign a liability waiver, in order to ride. Children under the age of 18, must have parent(s) present to sign the liability waiver.
Birthday parties!
Sophie's Safe Haven offers on or off site birthday parties. That's right, we can travel to you! We've done events at fire houses, nursing homes, and much more! We also offer themed parties as well. We have done unicorn parties in the past, and are open to any more suggestions! All birthday parties have the option to include the petting zoo as well. Contact us today to learn more information.
Beach Trail Rides
Sophie's Safe Haven offers horseback riding on Island Beach State Park from October 1st thru April 30th. The hours are from 8am to dusk. Each trail ride is one hour long, or 1 1/2 hours long. Reservations must be scheduled with us a month in advance. Island Beach State Park only allows 10 horses on the beach, in one day.
Petting Zoo
Sophie's Safe Haven hosts on or off site birthday parties or special occasions. That's right, we can travel to you! We've done petting zoo events at fire houses, nursing homes, and much more! We also offer themed parties as well! All of our petting zoo animals have a clean bill of health. Contact us today, if you have any questions!
